Wish Stories

Annabelle's Wish

This beautiful ballerina is Annabelle. Just like many little 5 year old girls, her favorite colour is pink. She loves animals, soccer, Sponge Bob, music and art. Annabelle lives in Prospect, NS, with her sister, Claire, mom, dad, and her dog, Charlotte.

She’s an energetic and talented child. Her cancer hasn’t stopped her from being a normal kid. She has T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. It sounds scary. For most of us, it would be. But time and time again, our wish kids prove to us the real meaning of heroes and bravery.

When Annabelle’s parents first asked her about what her wish would be, she excitedly told them that she’d like to “have no more needles; slide down a rainbow; ride a unicorn; or bake cookies & cupcakes.” She tells us that “her best day ever” was when she visited her grandparents in Quebec and went to the amusement park.

Her magical rainbow and unicorn wishes might not come true, but she is going to the next best place, Disney World. Experiencing the marvelous theme parks offered in Orlando and meeting her favorite characters, like Sponge Bob and princesses, will surely be a dream come true for a sweet girl who’s been through so much.

Challenge Yourself and Make Change Happen This Year

Challenge yourself and inspire others to make a difference in a child's life. Consider participating in one of two personal challenge events offered by Make-A-Wish Atlantic Provinces. In both cases, a minimum of $1500 in fundraising is required to participate.

The 100 Holes of Golf Marathon is taking place on Wednesday June 5, 2013.
The challenge, the fun, the bragging rights - and you will have helped children with life-threatening illnesses!

Make-A-Wish Rope For Hope is taking place on June 21, 2013.
This unique and thrilling opportunity to rappel 32 stories down iconic Fenwick Tower!
