Shae-Lynn Bourne and Claude Lemieux are in the final strech as they skate for wishes on Battle of the Blades!  The final performance show is on this Sunday, November 15th followed by the finale results show on Monday at 8pm on CBC. 

This past weekend, a wish family attended the show taping and was pleasantly surprised with a special visit from Shae and Claude.  The following note was sent in from the family:

"The show was amazing! The best part was when Claude Lemieux and Shae-Lynn Bourne came over to meet our family. Samantha & Christina were thrilled. They were both so nice and very down to earth people. But it didn't end there...

Claude picked up Samantha and danced with her on the ice. He's very tall and strong. He picked her up in his arms with little effort and danced her across the ice. I can't even find the words to explain her reaction. Her expression was sheer happiness!

It was truly amazing to watch. As her mom,...it seemed like I was watching it in slow motion. For a brief moment, my daughter was "flying". As I watched in awe, it felt like she was able to accomplish anything... nothing could stop her...there was no disability to hold her back.... I have never seen my little girl so happy and free! Her expression was sheer happiness!

I was in awe and it brought tears to my eyes. This was truly an experience my family will never forget!"
