Make-A-Wish® Canada Child Attending Super Bowl Thanks to Hallmark Canada

January 31, 2012 - Toronto, ON – Fifteen-year-old Canadian wish child Errict will have his one-true-wish granted when he and his family attend Super Bowl XLVI thanks to Make-A-Wish® corporate partner Hallmark Canada.

Errict will join a team of 11 American wish children who also wished to attend Super Bowl XLVI. The young football fans and their families are traveling from seven states and Canada, and will arrive in Indianapolis on Thursday, February 2. They will enjoy a weekend of private stadium tours, the NFL Experience interactive theme park, the Children’s Museum and other activities before cheering on the Giants and the Patriots at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.

“We are thrilled that Errict will have his magical wish granted, thanks to the generous support from Hallmark Canada,” said Jennifer Ritter, CEO, Make-A-Wish Canada. “A wish is a powerful thing. It creates hope, strength and joy, and this is powerful medicine for a child fighting a life-threatening medical condition.”

For Errict, an avid football fan, he’s been anxiously waiting for over a year for his Super Bowl wish to be granted. “I’ve told all of my friends, and they’re really envious of me,” said the 15-year-old. “This is one of the biggest games ever!”

“Our Hallmark stores, employees and customers across the country are thrilled to support Make-A-Wish Canada,” said Patrick Carr, President, Hallmark Canada. “We believe that life is a special occasion and we are honoured that we are able to help make Errict’s Super Bowl wish come true!”
