 
Our Chapter was established in 2001 and we grant wishes throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland & Labrador. The area that we serve is as diverse as the wishes that we grant. Make-A-Wish is proud to represent many different regions and cultures throughout our four provinces. But there are a few things that we share right across the Atlantic region, most importantly, our spirit of giving. Atlantic Canadians can boast one of the highest donor rates in Canada as well as a strong commitment to volunteering. Make-A-Wish is thankful for the support we receive from organizations and individuals as well as from many volunteers throughout our urban and rural communities. By working together we create hope and happiness for children with life-threatening illnesses throughout the Atlantic Provinces. We may be small in population but we make up for it in commitment to our wish children across the region! Seeing Evan enjoying himself was at times, very emotional. Although the bulk of our time was spent enjoying all of the Disney attractions, Evan would probably tell you that visiting the Atlantic ocean was his most favourite part of the trip. To see him playing with his dad and his brother, so carefree and happy, was the greatest reward! What a huge contrast to watching him be tethered to an IV all those times for chemotherapy.
