![]() Register now! The 2010 expedition will be held from April 21 to May 10. The goal is to have 25 trekkers raise the target sum of $200,000 to make the dreams of 25 children come true. The registration deadline is December 31st, 2009. The approximate cost of the expedition is $16,000, including the price of the trip and $8,000 to be raised for Make-a-Wish® Quebec. An adventure that goes the extra mile The Foundation has entrusted François Langlois—an astute businessman, experienced climber and reputed speaker—with leading the expedition. François has almost completed the Seven Summits Crown, which involves climbing the highest peak on each continent, namely: Mount Aconcagua in South America, Mount McKinley in North America, Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Elbrus in Europe, Mount Carstensz in Oceania, Mount Kosciuszko in Australia, and Mount Everest in Nepal. The only one he has left to reach his goal is Mount Vinson in Antarctica. Not only will participants be accompanied by an experienced guide, but also by a medical team (a doctor and nurse) offering round-the-clock services. Climbing Everest is like reaching for the stars and catching them one by one for all kids hoping for a better life.
