Annie-Claude's Wish
Wish Picture
We first met Annie-Claude at Montreal’s Ste-Justine Hospital where she was recovering from a neuroblastoma tumor. For her, the hospital is a
familiar place from where she receives treatments and medical examinations several times a year.
Annie-Claude’s wish was to transform her bedroom at home into one of princess quality, to the dismay of her older brother who happens to be
sharing the room with her.

Stronger than the horror of being surrounded by pink walls and diamante curtains was the siblings’ friendship– the brother and sister chose to stay in the same room. Annie-Claude worked hard to come up with a solution that would please everyone. “Why not split the room in two, she exclaimed, the pink half for me and the other can be green for my brother!”
This is how her princess story began.

On the eve of her 7th birthday, Annie-Claude, accompanied by her brother, entered the new little kingdom for the first time; a pink and light green colored room, detailed with large flowers and of course the inevitable, a prince-toad placed on top of the chest of drawers.

The wish for this wonderful princess’ room was granted with the help of IKEA who donated the furniture, volunteer decorators Sophie Bilodeau
and Line Tremblay, two volunteer interior decorators who carefully chose the accessories and helped design the room that Annie-Claude and her
brother and carefully chose the accessories and Mr. Sylvain Paquin who accepted to paint Annie-Claude’s room. Their efforts, combined with the
magic of Make-A-Wish® Quebec, made Annie-Claude’s princess wish happen!
