A trip to church earlier this year, when Andy was only 7-years-old, changed his life when he saw a piano performance and heard the accompanying choir. “I want to be a pianist,” he told his mother when the music stopped. So when Andy became sick and was told that he could have any one of his wishes come true, he immediately said that he wanted a piano.

On the last day of this school year, Andy anxiously waited for the end of the day because he knew that when he got home, his piano would arrive. Andy could barely contain himself while the piano was being carried in and set up. He couldn’t wait to start playing. Now that Andy has started taking piano lessons, he has become a pro at Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and he is mastering learning chords.

When the teacher leaves after each lesson, Andy patiently teaches his 4-year-old sister what he learned on the piano. Then Andy plays and his sister sings along to the music.

“Andy has loved music since he was a little boy,” says his mother. “He used to sit and listen to music for hours as a baby, just listening.”

Andy’s next dream is to play piano on stage and to have his parents sitting proudly in the front row.
