Gabriel suffers from Burkitt lymphoma and spent his 12th birthday away from his loved ones in isolation at the hospital. Just one year later and he has experienced such a positive change. In fact, on his 13th birthday, he arrived home from school expecting to spend a relaxing evening at home with his family. His most desired wish had been to have a home entertainment centre, and to his surprise he walked into his room and there it was, a Sony home theatre with a giant screen and Play Station 3, along with all kinds of games and movies. Not only can the entire family share in his joy and have fun with the new system, but his best friends were quick to run and get there joysticks from home and return to play a few games with Gabriel on the huge screen.

Jean-François, the Sony representative was on site to set up the system and guide Gabriel through all its sophisticated functions. Aware that Gabriel is a loyal fan of the Montreal Canadiens, ACE INA Insurance surprised him with a pair of tickets to the hockey game, along with his favourite player’s (Kolev) jersey plus a toque to sport to the game. He decided that he would leave his 5 sisters and mom at home to enjoy the new home theatre while his stepdad accompanied him to the game.
