Eighteen year old Kevin has a love for electronics so when he wished for a laptop he was very surprised to find the wish didn’t end there….

The laptop was delivered to his house by two of our wishgranters along with a printer, speakers, mini camera, and mp3 player. And that was just the beginning of his wish! There were more gifts to come so after discovery that Kevin was a fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the wishgranters decided to throw him a themed party with his family and friends. Green and white balloons and streamers as well as all the pizza and cake you can eat filled Kevin’s grandmother’s house on a Saturday night this past March. There were also rider flags, a poster, a t-shirt and Rider Store gift certificate for him to keep as souvenirs of the night!

The excitement in Kevin’s eyes was hard to mistake when he opened his gifts in front of his family and friends. He received a Sony bag and hat as well as a Make-A-Wish^® watch, hat and water bottle. And if all of his new electronic devices weren’t enough to keep him occupied then the collection of assorted DVDs and CDs that came with them should do the trick! But just when Kevin thought there couldn’t be any more gifts to open his face lit up when he discovered a very generous Futureshop gift card!

There were also a few gifts for Kevin’s family including coffee mugs for his mom and dad and water bottles for his younger brothers. Overall, the wish was a great success and wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Sony and their generous contributions as well as the Make-A-Wish Southern Alberta Chapter!
