Michayla’s wish was to go to Disney World and meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse. While down in Florida we got to stay at Give Kids the World. The resort was awesome, there was so much to do, that we took turns going to the parks and staying at the resort.
Every morning, after breakfast, we would ride the carousel for a couple of rides, and then the day could begin. We spent a whole day at Magic Kingdom taking in the sights and the rides. The favorite activity there was probably Mickey’s Philharmonic 4D.
We spent one day between Epcot and Animal Kingdom. This was a day of one great ride after another. At Epcot the kids got to talk with Crush, but we had to ride Soarin’ twice. At Animal Kingdom we rode the safari and got to see all sorts of animals. We also spent the entire day at SeaWorld, which we all agreed was the favorite day of all.
We spent the first little while just walking around to see what was there. We spent quite a bit of time petting the manta rays and feeding them. From there we got to feed the dolphins. We then crossed the park to watch the Shamu show. Michayla just stood the whole time clapping and trying to figure out where the killer whales were going to jump out of the water. Then it was off to the rides. Michayla just qualified in height for the Shamu express roller coaster. After the ride stopped, all she did was the sign for more, over and over.
Every night we were back to GKTW for whatever party was scheduled. We spent 3 full days at GKTW. We would swim, play mini golf, ride the train and the carousel and fish…and eat ice cream sometimes up to four times a day. And then on the day we left, we had breakfast at the Ice Cream Palace.
Michayla enjoyed every minute of the trip, but especially being at GKTW! It was low key and she could be free. Thank-you for a magical week that will not be forgotten.
